On March 3, Dr. Noura Howell; an assistant professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication; gave a seminar to students on emotion AI, bioethics, and how her research aims to explore these topics. She introduced some of her previous work to the SoM students, which attempts to use data and technology to directly affirm human experiences and promote inclusivity across human differences.
Dr. Howell stood with some of the SoM students and faculty for a picture after giving her seminar. The audience also had the opportunity to ask Dr. Howell questions on her seminar topic, as well as discuss her research more casually.
